Ric Brady
- About
- Ric Brady is an author, award-nominated playwright, and interactive fiction writer. He grew up near the misty moors of Brontë country and studied English at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Ric co-wrote the plays ‘The Box of Tricks’ and ‘A Very Victorian Scandal’, which were funded by the Arts Council England. His interactive fiction series ‘Lady Justice’ was in the top-ten most-read stories on the Tales app. He is a member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and is part of the Curtis Brown Creative alumni.
He started reading crime fiction when he was young, borrowing second-hand novels written by Ian Rankin, John Grisham, and Dean Koontz. He’s addicted to the genre’s nail-biting suspense, especially when he’s about to find out who the murderer is.
Ric writes thrillers and crime fiction that have a dose of dark humour in them. His stories are based in the north of England despite him living in France. He sets his novels in the north as he’s fascinated by its people and landscapes.
When he’s not writing, Ric is teaching English in France. He frequently returns to the UK to soak up the atmosphere, buy boxes of Yorkshire tea, and come up with ideas for future novels.
We published his debut novel ‘Murder on a Yorkshire Moor’ in February 2023.
