David has recently retired from a busy career as a Programme Manager to pursue his first love: writing crime fiction novels. Taking inspiration from authors such as Ian Rankin, Ann Cleeves and Colin Dexter, David bases his novels on the west coast of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way.
A keen photographer, he enjoys taking landscape photos of the ever-changing scenery that the west of Ireland affords, and spends as much time as possible in the area which he says he finds inspirational for his books.
David's ambition is to have the books made into a television series, so that the beauty of the locations in which his books are set can further come to life for his readers.
