There’s a new writer on the block! And something of a new departure for us as we launch some great titles in the legal thriller genre. Author James Warren is exceptionally well-positioned to deliver great books on this subject, given years of professional experience as an attorney and federal prosecutor in the US.

PROTECTION RACKET
When a hot-shot, womanizing lawyer is found murdered in his office, a female co-worker is indicted for the crime. Her parents call on David Lee from a rival firm to clear Amanda’s name and defend her at trial. Falling for his attractive client, David will dig deep to prove her innocence, but there may be more to it than first meets the eye.
James has two other novels in the works. The first is THE PAST NEVER FADES, which concerns the murder of two Holocaust survivors over six years apart. The second is THE RUNNER, in which a detective witnesses the shooting of a high school cross country runner yards before the finish line.
The author was born and raised in southern California. He is a former attorney and federal prosecutor, who still resides in the greater Los Angeles area. He has been married for twenty-five years, and his wife plays the violin with a symphony orchestra. Warren’s older son, Michael, is a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force, and his twins, Andrew and Caitlyn, are juniors in college.
In fiction, his favourite books include THE REVERSAL by Michael Connelly and THE FIRM by John Grisham. In historical non-fiction, he is taken with LIFE ON THE MISSISSIPPI by Rinker Buck and 1777: TIPPING POINT AT SARATOGA by Dean Snow.
